The application will re-open in Spring 2025 for the Class of 2025 to apply.
If you are a graduated Wasatch student who received a scholarship in previous years (not the Class of 2024) and submitted paperwork to defer the award, please reach out to Kirsta Albert at k.albert@wasatch.edu to start the process for having your scholarship sent to the school you are, or will be, attending. Scholarship funds are held for five years from the date of award.
Class of 2024 recipients must turn in the paperwork emailed to them at their non-Wasatch email on June 1, 2024, to either have their award sent to their school or to defer their award.
The Foundation would like to thank this year’s scholarship donors, who generously provided $500,000 in awards to 291 students from the Wasatch High School Class of 2024! Of these, 16 were selected to receive the “We Rise” Scholarship for first-generation college students, which is renewable annually. The Foundation is currently supporting 50 students who are attending eight colleges in Utah and are on track to be the first in their families to graduate from college.

I am attending Brigham Young University and majoring in elementary education. It meant a lot to receive the WEF scholarship because I was able to save up for future semesters. When I become a junior and start practicums, it will be hard to work and do practicums and so being able to save up because of the scholarship will help with that.
I'm currently going to SUU for theatre tech and design, and this summer is my first study abroad (if travel is allowed), I'm going to New Zealand to study elementary astronomy and cultural anthropology.
The scholarship I got, for me, was very much a chance to breathe. It's strongly helped me get through my first year of college without taking on student loans, which is something I would love to continue being able to do, even though it's tough. I'm so, so grateful for the scholarship I received and for the school and companies/individuals who helped offer the scholarships.

I am currently attending UVU, mostly working on my general classes but I have had some classes that work towards my finance degree as well as some science courses because I hope to get into the medical field. I am also in the ROTC program and the classes that I take for that are a ton of fun and I’m learning a lot. My scholarship that I got helped a ton with my financial situation that I had last semester. It meant a lot coming from important people in our amazing community. Thank you!
I am currently attending the University of Utah and earning a Modern Dance BFA while taking prerequisites for medical school. Receiving a WEF scholarship made my transition to college a lot less stressful for me and my parents. This scholarship made it so I could focus my finances on textbooks and other materials needed for my education. I am so grateful to have received a scholarship from WEF.
My full name is Tanya Nava Feliciano, I am 19, and am attending the University of Utah. I was planning to major in Linguistics, but now since I am involved in the Business Scholars Program, I am leaning more towards Business Management or Marketing.
The Wasatch Education Foundation Scholarship has helped me with paying the first couple of months of my rent and buying the materials I need for school. I am very happy that Heber City has given back to me with a scholarship because it’s not ideal having my Mexican hardworking, single mother pay for all my education. I’m very grateful for the community we have here. I do all the good things in my career for my mother because I’d like to relieve some stress off her shoulders, and this scholarship is only the beginning of my career.
