With the help of generous donors, last year we provided scholarships totaling $270,000 and were able to help nearly 240 graduating WHS seniors move on to post-secondary education. Some were the first in their family to have the opportunity to do so. So many students were helped because people like you donated to the scholarship program.
Last May, Sadie received a $1,000 scholarship to help further her education in technical studies. She wrote, “I would like to share my gratitude for the opportunity to continue with my education. I have been raised by a single mother and money has always been tight, and even when I have a wonderful mother that has worked hard to provide for my brother and I, this money comes as a huge help to put towards tuition for my Dental Assisting program at MTECH. Words cannot express the gratitude I have as you entrust me with this money to further my education. I will work hard to make good use of it, and finish this program that will help me in my future as I follow my dream of becoming an Orthodontist Assistant.”
Gracie also received a $1,000 scholarship, and is enrolled in four-year school. She wrote, “Thank you SO MUCH for the scholarship! You have no idea how much it means me. I appreciate it so much because it’s helping me focus on my education instead of on how I’m going to pay for school. I’m majoring in Marketing with a minor in Photography. I’m in the Global Business Scholars Program at the University of Utah and I’m loving it! Once again, thank you for the generous scholarship!”
As you can see, these scholarships not only help financially, but also show our students that we believe they can be successful in life. We kindly ask you to support our scholarship program this year by funding a scholarship for a Class of 2021 graduating WHS senior.

Thank you for your thoughtful consideration.
I am attending Brigham Young University and majoring in elementary education. It meant a lot to receive the WEF scholarship because I was able to save up for future semesters. When I become a junior and start practicums, it will be hard to work and do practicums and so being able to save up because of the scholarship will help with that.
I'm currently going to SUU for theatre tech and design, and this summer is my first study abroad (if travel is allowed), I'm going to New Zealand to study elementary astronomy and cultural anthropology.
The scholarship I got, for me, was very much a chance to breathe. It's strongly helped me get through my first year of college without taking on student loans, which is something I would love to continue being able to do, even though it's tough. I'm so, so grateful for the scholarship I received and for the school and companies/individuals who helped offer the scholarships.

I am currently attending UVU, mostly working on my general classes but I have had some classes that work towards my finance degree as well as some science courses because I hope to get into the medical field. I am also in the ROTC program and the classes that I take for that are a ton of fun and I’m learning a lot. My scholarship that I got helped a ton with my financial situation that I had last semester. It meant a lot coming from important people in our amazing community. Thank you!
I am currently attending the University of Utah and earning a Modern Dance BFA while taking prerequisites for medical school. Receiving a WEF scholarship made my transition to college a lot less stressful for me and my parents. This scholarship made it so I could focus my finances on textbooks and other materials needed for my education. I am so grateful to have received a scholarship from WEF.
My full name is Tanya Nava Feliciano, I am 19, and am attending the University of Utah. I was planning to major in Linguistics, but now since I am involved in the Business Scholars Program, I am leaning more towards Business Management or Marketing.
The Wasatch Education Foundation Scholarship has helped me with paying the first couple of months of my rent and buying the materials I need for school. I am very happy that Heber City has given back to me with a scholarship because it’s not ideal having my Mexican hardworking, single mother pay for all my education. I’m very grateful for the community we have here. I do all the good things in my career for my mother because I’d like to relieve some stress off her shoulders, and this scholarship is only the beginning of my career.

We could not continue to provide the level of scholarship support to more than 200 WHS graduating seniors without you!
